Deputy Sheriff Job Description: Performs law enforcement duties to ensure the safety and security of McKean County. Patrols assigned areas, responds to calls for service, investigates crimes, makes arrests, enforces laws and ordinances, serves warrants and subpoenas, provides court security, and performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be a United States citizen, at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. Must be able to meet all requirements for POST certification. Must be able to pass a physical fitness test, written examination, oral interview, background investigation, and psychological evaluation.
