Wind Advisory Issued: Gusts Up to 50 MPH Expected
A Wind Advisory has been issued for parts of Alabama and Tennessee, with gusts up to 50 mph expected from Saturday morning until Sunday morning, potentially causing power outages and difficult driving conditions.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, and Limestone Counties in Alabama, and Moore, Lincoln, and Franklin Counties in Tennessee. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Huntsville, AL, issued this advisory today, October 9, at 11:34 AM CDT.
East winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. This advisory is in effect from 1:00 AM CDT on Saturday, October 10, until 7:00 AM CDT on Sunday, October 11.
Residents should secure outdoor objects as gusty winds may blow them around. Tree limbs could be blown down, potentially leading to power outages.
