Residents in Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb, and Cullman counties in Alabama, and Moore, Lincoln, and Franklin counties in Tennessee should prepare for a High Wind Watch effective from Saturday morning through Sunday morning. The National Weather Service in Huntsville, AL has issued this watch until October 11 at 7:00 AM CDT.

Southeast winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially as high as 50 mph across all of Northern Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. There is a high-end potential for gusts of 60-70 mph, particularly in higher terrain areas.

These damaging winds could lead to downed trees and power lines, with widespread power outages possible. Travel may become difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. The National Weather Service advises monitoring the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.
