Rockledge City Council Interviews City Manager Candidates
Rockledge City Council members interviewed two candidates for the City Manager position during a special meeting on August 19, 2026. Public comment procedures were also reviewed.

The Rockledge City Council met Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Rockledge City Hall, 1600 Huntington Lane. Chairman Thomas J. Price led the special meeting, which focused on interviewing candidates for the City Manager position.
The council interviewed two candidates. John W. Cooper's interview lasted from 5:00 p.m. to 5:25 p.m. Matthew Trine followed, with his interview concluding at 5:50 p.m. The council then held a discussion period.
Attendees wishing to address the council were required to complete a speaker card. These cards, available near the Council Chamber door, were to be submitted to the City Clerk before the meeting or prior to the introduction of any agenda item. This procedure ensures public comments are formally recorded.
The meeting adjourned following the interviews and discussion.
