Rochester will launch road repairs, beautification projects, and the Erie Canal boating season this spring as crews begin infrastructure work across the Village.

The Village Department of Public Works opened asphalt plants on April 8 and began filling potholes, work that will continue as weather permits. DPW crews will also pave streets throughout April, May, and June, with specific locations and timelines to follow.

The Tree Board and DPW will host an Arbor Day tree planting event; the date will be announced. The Village will hang new banners celebrating Rochester's 250th anniversary and install flower planters and hanging baskets on Main Street and adjoining areas in late May.

Residents can participate in NY State Canal Clean Sweep Events and the Fairport Perinton Partnership Clean Sweep. The Erie Canal boating season officially begins May 15.

Village Hall will close May 25 for Memorial Day. The annual Memorial Day Parade takes place May 25 at 10 a.m.
