Hurst Chapel A.M.E. Church Celebrates 100 Years in Riviera Beach

Hurst Chapel A.M.E. Church, a fixture in the Riviera Beach community, celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Founded in 1923 in a one-room log cabin in what is now Lake Park, the church continues its mission to equip its congregation with tools and knowledge to glorify God and foster a lasting connection with Christ.

Located at 1617 Silver Beach Road, Riviera Beach, FL 33404, Hurst Chapel inspires faith, love, and service. Through its "Building Better Bridges" initiative, the church works to create understanding, compassion, and hope across generations and communities, aiming to leave a legacy of unity in faith.

The church offers regular services for spiritual growth. The Worship Service takes place every Sunday at 10 a.m. in the HC Sanctuary and streams online. Bible Study meets Wednesdays at 6 p.m. in the HC Sanctuary, and a Bible Discovery Hour (Sunday School) is held Sundays at 8:45 a.m.

Hurst Chapel engages the community through ministries addressing spiritual, educational, and social needs. The church invites individuals and families seeking spiritual growth and a welcoming environment to attend its services.
