Winthrop Charter School: 2026-27 Enrollment Now Open

Winthrop Charter School is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year from Nov. 3 to Dec. 5, 2025. Applications received during this period will receive equal consideration for admission.

Families interested in the 2027-2028 school year may apply beginning in November. The school accepts applications continuously online, even after the official enrollment period closes.

A lottery will be held Dec. 12, 2025, if applications for any grade level exceed available seats. Lottery results will be emailed to applicants and available through their SchoolMint Dashboard. Detailed lottery, enrollment and registration information is in the school's Lottery Rules and Procedures.

Students offered a seat must complete a three-step process on the SchoolMint Dashboard: accept the offer within seven days, complete online registration within 14 days of acceptance, and upload required documents within 14 business days of acceptance. Assistance is available for document uploads.

Required enrollment documents include a birth certificate, parent/guardian driver’s license, proof of residence, immunization and physical records, a school-provided Student Release and Emergency Form, and any applicable Special Education or custody court documents.

Winthrop Charter School operates under Florida's Controlled Open Enrollment policy. Parents from any Florida school district can enroll their child if the school has not reached its capacity of 1,900 students. The school updates student capacity and seat availability by grade level every 12 weeks. Families seeking admission when current availability is limited should apply promptly to join the school's waiting list.
