Presley Gerber Death Under Investigation in Santa Monica

Santa Monica, California – Police are investigating the Sunday death of model Presley Gerber, 27, as a suspected overdose. The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office confirmed Gerber's passing. The Santa Monica Police Department reported Monday that no signs of foul play were present.

The medical examiner's office is in the early stages of its investigation. A deputy medical examiner conducted an examination Monday but deferred the cause and manner of death pending additional testing. Sources told ABC News that Gerber had checked into a rehabilitation center the day before he was found unresponsive on Sunday morning. The medical examiner pronounced Gerber dead at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

Gerber, son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and brother to model and actress Kaia Gerber, began his modeling career at 15. He walked runways for Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana and appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein and Celine. He had previously spoken publicly about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse, seeking treatment after a 2019 DUI and hosting a video series titled "Mental Health Mondays" in 2024.
