Riverview residents who recently purchased a Kesyup mattress should immediately check their bedding due to a nationwide recall issued by ZCK01. The company recalled 48,405 Kesyup mattresses because they violate mandatory flammability standards, posing a serious risk of injury or death from fire.
This recall affects 12-inch mattresses sold in twin, full, queen, and king sizes. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advised consumers to stop using these mattresses right away. The potential fire hazard makes continued use unsafe for any household.
Identifying a recalled mattress involves looking for specific features. These mattresses have a white top and blue sides with blue trim. A sewn-in white label on one side states 'Prototype ID: <PU-US>'. The mattresses were typically sold in compressed boxes.
To receive a full refund, owners must contact ZCK01. The CPSC outlined a process for destroying the mattress: write 'Recalled,' your name, and the date in permanent marker on the top surface, then email a photo of the destroyed mattress to the company. After this, residents must dispose of the mattress according to local or state procedures. This ensures the hazardous product does not re-enter the market.
