Juan R. Conde Jr., Vietnam Veteran, Dies at 77 in Plant City

Juan R. Conde Jr., a Vietnam veteran and beloved family man, died Sept. 6. He was 77.

Conde died peacefully. A resident of Plant City, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Born Dec. 23, 1948, in San Benito, Texas, to Juan H. Conde and Trinidad R. Conde, he married Guadalupe Rodriguez in 1972. The couple raised four children.

Conde retired from his career several months ago and spent his final months with his family. He was a grandfather to seven granddaughters and five grandsons, and a great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Rodriguez; his children Juan Conde (Belinda), Albert Conde (Jessica), Joe Conde (Claudia), and Sylvia Conde (Sosa); his grandchildren Emily, Daisy, Stephanie, Celecea, Autumn, Melanie, Albert Jr., Jesse, Danny, Sonny, and Joe; and his great-grandchildren Jonathan, Martin, Sebastian, and Aviana.

Conde also is survived by his siblings Gilbert Conde, Minerva Castelan, Irma Conde, Irene Coronado, Maria Rivera, and Ricardo Conde. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Inez Conde and Fernando Conde.
