Elizabeth Holmes Denies Theranos Wrongdoing in New Documentary Trailer, Filmed Weeks Before Prison

A new documentary trailer for "You Can See Everything" features Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, denying any wrongdoing regarding the company. The film offers an intimate look into Holmes' life with her partner, Billy Evans, and their children, filmed just weeks before she began her prison sentence.

In the trailer, filmmaker Nathan Fielder asks Holmes if she feels she did nothing wrong. Holmes responds, "I did not." When asked where things went wrong, she states, "I wish I knew. I don't know. I don't feel like I understand that." This exchange highlights her continued stance of innocence despite her conviction.

The documentary, co-directed by Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, was filmed in 2023, 34 days before Holmes reported to prison. Holmes told Fielder she was not worried about a filmmaker living with her family 24/7, believing it was the right time to capture her story before her incarceration. Her partner, Billy Evans, also appears in the trailer, stating he has "never" been suspicious of Holmes lying to him.

Holmes was found guilty in January 2022 on four counts of fraud against investors who had put millions into Theranos, a Silicon Valley blood-testing startup. A judge sentenced her to over 11 years in prison. The documentary's release comes as Holmes serves her sentence, offering a perspective she claims has "nothing to hide."

"You Can See Everything" is scheduled for release in theaters on October 16. Holmes' X account shared a clip from the documentary on September 6, when the film was first announced, with the caption, "I’m always being real."
