Wind Advisory for Coachella Valley: Secure Loose Items, Drive Cautiously
A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Coachella Valley from tonight until Monday morning, with gusts up to 45 mph; residents should secure loose items and drive with caution.
Residents of the Coachella Valley should prepare for strong winds tonight into Monday morning. The National Weather Service (NWS) San Diego has issued a Wind Advisory, effective from 8:57 PM PDT on October 11 until 5:00 AM PDT on October 12.
The NWS reports that northwest winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially as high as 45 mph. These gusty conditions may impact unsecured objects, cause tree limbs to fall, and could lead to isolated power outages.
Drivers, particularly those operating high-profile vehicles, are advised to exercise extra caution on the roads as strong winds can make driving difficult. Residents are encouraged to secure any outdoor items that could be blown around by the wind.
