Cancer Death Rates in U.S. Continue to Decline, Report Shows

Death rates from all cancers in the United States for men and women decreased between 2003 and 2007, according to the latest Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer. Researchers analyzed the data for the report.

The report also found that the overall rate of new cancer diagnoses decreased for men and women combined. The average decrease was slightly less than 1 percent per year during the examined period.
