Richmond Celebrates Tree City USA 2025 Designation

Richmond will celebrate its 2025 designation as a Tree City USA during Tasty Tuesday in Irvine-McDowell Park on April 21. The recognition comes from the Arbor Day Foundation.
"Trees provide natural beauty to our surroundings, and they are symbols of lasting legacy," according to a statement about the event. "Planting a tree is an act of optimism and an investment to benefit future generations."
The Tree City USA program celebrates its 50th recognition season this year. The Arbor Day Foundation has planted more than 500 million trees across 60 countries through its network of supporters.
