A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for central Kentucky, urging drivers to exercise caution. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Louisville, KY, issued the advisory this morning, October 12, 2026, effective until 11:00 AM EDT.

Visibility is currently around one-quarter of a mile due to dense fog. The NWS anticipates visibility will gradually improve over the next one to two hours.

The advisory affects the following counties: Henry, Shelby, Franklin, Scott, Harrison, Spencer, Anderson, Woodford, Fayette, Bourbon, Nicholas, Nelson, Washington, Mercer, Jessamine, Clark, Marion, Boyle, Garrard, Madison, Green, Taylor, Casey, Lincoln, Monroe, Metcalfe, Adair, Russell, Cumberland, and Clinton.

Low visibility can make driving hazardous. If you must drive within the affected areas during this time, slow down, use your headlights, and maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles.
