A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Wasatch Mountains (I-80 North and South of I-80) and the Western Uinta Mountains, effective immediately until midnight MDT tonight, October 12th. The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City UT issued the advisory at 10:31 AM MDT on October 11th.

South winds are expected to reach speeds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts potentially reaching up to 70 mph. These strong winds may cause unsecured objects to blow around and could lead to isolated power outages.

Drivers, particularly those operating high-profile vehicles or vehicles with trailers, should exercise extreme caution as these wind conditions will make driving difficult. Please take necessary precautions to secure outdoor items and be prepared for potential disruptions.
