Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Region Until 10 AM

Residents in affected areas are advised to exercise extreme caution when driving this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory. The National Weather Service (NWS) Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN has issued this advisory, effective from 1:32 AM CDT until 10:00 AM CDT today, September 28th.

Visibility is expected to be one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, creating hazardous driving conditions. The advisory covers a wide area including portions of central, east central, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Minnesota, as well as northwest and west central Wisconsin. Specifically, this includes the Minnesota counties of Douglas, Todd, Morrison, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Stevens, Pope, Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Isanti, Chisago, Lac Qui Parle, Swift, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Wright, Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey, Washington, Yellow Medicine, Renville, McLeod, Sibley, Carver, Scott, Dakota, Redwood, Brown, Nicollet, Le Sueur, Rice, and Goodhue. In Wisconsin, the affected counties are Polk, Barron, Rusk, St. Croix, Pierce, Dunn, Pepin, Chippewa, and Eau Claire.
