Kingman County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Public Works Director. The Public Works Director plans, organizes, directs, and controls all functions of the Public Works Department, with primary emphasis on county roads and bridges. The Public Works Director is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of county roads, bridges, right of ways, equipment maintenance shop, and general county maintenance. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a related field. Five years of progressively responsible experience in public works administration, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer license in the State of Kansas. Experience in Road and Bridge. Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000/year, depending on qualifications.
