Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Albany, Carbon Counties Until 4:15 PM MDT
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for central Albany County and northeastern Carbon County, Wyoming, until 4:15 PM MDT today, October 10, with 70 mph wind gusts reported by the National Weather Service.
Residents in central Albany County and northeastern Carbon County, Wyoming, are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building immediately due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
This warning is in effect until 4:15 PM MDT today, October 10. At 3:35 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm with 70 mph wind gusts was located 10 miles west of Elk Mountain, moving northeast at 75 mph. Radar indicated the severe weather.
Impacts are expected to include considerable tree damage. Damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include Hanna, Medicine Bow, Rock River, Elk Mountain, Prior Flat Campground, Turpin Reservoir, McFadden, Wheatland Reservoir Number 3, Bow River Campground, Deep Creek Campground, and Arlington.
