Appealing Your Assessment

Appealing Your Assessment Understanding Your Assessment Each August, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County mails a Notice of Proposed Property Taxes (TRIM Notice) to property owners. After TRIM Notices are mailed, our office begins what we refer to internally as the "interview period." This is an opportunity to go over the details of your TRIM Notice with our staff and resolve any discrepancies or questions you may have—often without needing to take further action.
