PVHS Q3 Ends Friday: Spring Musical & Testing Season

Putnam Valley High School's third quarter concludes Friday, June 13. Principal Matt Mello urged families to review student progress and attendance records through PowerSchool over the weekend.

The spring musical "Into the Woods" opens this weekend with performances Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $5 for students and seniors, $15 in advance for adults, and $20 at the door.

Formal assessment season begins April 28 with IB and AP exams. Seniors will take IB assessments, many spanning two days. AP exams are fully digital this year; students must bring fully charged laptops.

Other upcoming events include the Science Research Symposium on Thursday, April 23, featuring sophomores presenting for the first time; the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, April 29; and the 4th Annual Celebration of Film on Thursday, May 14, showcasing work by IB Film and TV Production students.

Mello asked families to discuss good decision-making and safety with students as the school year concludes.
