City of La Grange Parks & Recreation Newsletter - April 2024 Welcome to the April edition of the City of La Grange Parks & Recreation Newsletter! We're excited to share all the fantastic activities and updates happening this month. From family fun to community engagement, there's something for everyone. **What's New This Month:** * **Spring Fest Returns!** Join us for our annual Spring Fest on April 20th at La Grange City Park. Enjoy live music, food vendors, kids' activities, and more! A full schedule of events will be posted on our website soon. * **New Walking Trail Opening:** We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new Maple Creek Walking Trail on April 27th. This scenic trail offers a beautiful new way to explore our natural surroundings. Ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 AM. * **Summer Program Registration:** Registration for our popular summer camps and programs opens on May 1st. Don't miss out on a summer of fun, learning, and adventure! **Upcoming Events:** * **Community Garden Planting Day:** Saturday, April 13th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Community Garden on Elm Street. Help us get our community garden ready for the growing season! * **Outdoor Movie Night:** Friday, April 26th, sundown at the amphitheater in Central Park. Bring your blankets and enjoy a family-friendly movie under the stars. (Movie title TBA) **Parks & Recreation Department News:** Our dedicated team has been working hard to maintain and improve our city's green spaces. We recently completed upgrades to the playground equipment at Oakwood Park, and more improvements are planned throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you out and about in our parks!
