WASHINGTON – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has initiated an investigation into iceberg lettuce as a potential source of a cyclosporiasis outbreak. The agency is examining lettuce supplied to Taco Bell by Taylor Farms.

Authorities are working to determine the connection between the lettuce and the ongoing outbreak of the parasitic infection. Cyclosporiasis is an illness caused by the parasite *Cyclospora cayetanensis*.
