Dense Fog Advisory Issued: Drive with Caution Until 10 AM CDT

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM CDT today for Montgomery, Robertson, Cheatham, Davidson, Williamson, Maury, Marshall, and Giles counties; drivers should slow down and use headlights due to visibility of one quarter mile or less.

Drivers are urged to use extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Nashville. The advisory is in effect until 10:00 AM CDT today, October 12, 2026.

Visibility is significantly reduced to one quarter mile or less in dense fog across several counties, including Montgomery, Robertson, Cheatham, Davidson, Williamson, Maury, Marshall, and Giles. These hazardous conditions can make driving exceptionally dangerous.

The NWS advises motorists to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain plenty of distance between their vehicle and others. Low visibility significantly increases the risk of accidents.

This advisory is set to expire at 10:00 AM CDT. Continue to monitor local weather updates throughout the morning.
