Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk for serious flu complications. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated each year. The upcoming season’s flu vaccine will protect against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the season. If not properly treated the Flu can have complications such as bronchitis or pneumonia which can become life-threatening. Prevent the Flu with annual vaccination and / or antiviral medicines. Flu shots are given in the clinic on a daily basis from Monday - Friday : 8am - 4:30pm Mon – Fri. Special weekend hours are observed to assist those persons unable to visit the clinic during regular business hours (Call (740) 452-5401for those hours). Flu shots are FREE for Muskingum County residents, $20 for out of county residents. Special arrangements can be made by businesses for on-site flu shots; providing enough of your staff are interested and requested time is available. We also provide home-bound patients with in-home service. Please call to make arrangements.
