Wind Advisory Issued: Gusts Up To 45 MPH Expected Until Noon

A Wind Advisory has been issued for portions of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York, effective until noon EDT today, September 27. The National Weather Service (NWS) Albany NY issued the advisory at 12:39 AM EDT.
Northeast winds are expected to be between 15 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 40 to 45 mph. The advisory impacts Litchfield County in Connecticut; Berkshire County in Massachusetts; and Dutchess and Eastern Ulster Counties in New York, specifically Northern Litchfield, Southern Litchfield, Northern Berkshire, Southern Berkshire, Eastern Ulster, Western Dutchess, and Eastern Dutchess areas.
These strong winds may make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Unsecured outdoor objects could be blown around. There is also a possibility of downed tree limbs and scattered power outages. The NWS advises using extra caution when driving during this period.
