Zelenskyy Confirms Request for Trump to Engage China on Ukraine Conflict

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Friday he previously asked U.S. President Donald Trump to encourage China's leader to use Beijing's influence over Moscow. Zelenskyy stated this request aimed to facilitate a diplomatic resolution to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
According to Zelenskyy, he communicated this request directly to Trump. The Ukrainian president sought to enlist China's diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the conflict, which has lasted for 4 1/2 years.
