A new report from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) identified a potential $350 billion in unmet demand within the longevity market from women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. The firm's survey, which included 10,600 individuals, found these women are highly engaged consumers in the longevity sector.
Despite their engagement, women in perimenopause and menopause reported among the lowest satisfaction levels with existing longevity products and services. The survey indicated that one-third of these women would increase their spending if they found offerings that better addressed their needs. This demographic currently spends more on longevity-related products and services than any other age group.
The report highlighted a disparity between the significant interest from this consumer group and the availability of satisfactory market solutions.
