Wild Defeat Stars 4-2 in Game 5, Take Series Lead

The Minnesota Wild secured a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night, establishing a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference first-round series. Minnesota has now won three consecutive games after initially trailing 2-1 in the series.

Defenseman John Klingberg contributed one goal and one assist for the Wild. Forward Ryan Hartman also registered a goal and an assist. Goaltender Filip Gustavsson stopped 26 of 28 shots for Minnesota.

Dallas forward Joe Pavelski scored one goal, and forward Miro Heiskanen recorded an assist. Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger made 27 saves on 30 shots.

Minnesota now holds a 3-2 series advantage. One more victory will advance the Wild to the next round, a feat they last accomplished in 2015.
