Wesley Chapel Library Announces New Spring Reading Programs

Staff Writer
April 9, 2026

Wesley Chapel residents looking to engage with literature and community this spring have several new opportunities at the Wesley Chapel Library. The library, located at 2951 Seven Oaks Blvd. in the Seven Oaks neighborhood, has announced a series of new reading programs and technology upgrades designed to serve all ages.

Starting next week, the library will launch its 'Spring into Reading' challenge for children and teens. Participants can track their reading progress to earn prizes, with a special kickoff event planned for Saturday, April 12th, featuring local storyteller Mrs. Eleanor Vance. The program aims to foster a love of reading outside of school hours and encourage regular library visits.

For adults, a new 'Local Authors Spotlight' book club will begin meeting on the third Tuesday of each month, starting April 15th. The inaugural meeting will discuss "Echoes of Cypress Creek," a historical fiction novel evoking the local history along Cypress Creek by Wesley Chapel resident Mr. Thomas Jenkins. The club provides a platform for community members to connect with local literary talent and discuss themes relevant to the region.

In addition to reading initiatives, the library has completed an upgrade to its public computer lab, now offering faster internet speeds and new software for job seekers and students. "We are committed to providing resources that meet the evolving needs of our community," stated Library Director Ms. Sarah Peterson. "These upgrades, along with our new programs, ensure the library remains a vital hub for learning and connection in Wesley Chapel."

Residents interested in participating in any of the new programs or utilizing the updated computer lab are encouraged to visit the Wesley Chapel Library during operating hours or call for more information. Program schedules and registration details are available at the front desk.
