ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel reported Monday that Golden State plans to utilize this pick and additional assets in a bid to acquire Antetokounmpo. The organization aims to avoid a repeat of its previous 'two-timeline' strategy involving former draft picks James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga.
Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP and NBA champion, averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game during the recent season with the 32-50 Bucks. Siegel's report indicates discussions regarding Antetokounmpo and the Warriors have occurred among rival teams. The Warriors intend to package the No. 11 pick with other future assets to facilitate a trade.
