Wandermind Shop Opens in Idaho Falls for Neurodivergent Community
National Desk

IDAHO FALLS (Day.News) — Wandermind, a retail shop and community space dedicated to neurodivergent individuals, held its grand opening Saturday at 549 Park Ave. in downtown Idaho Falls. Co-owners McKenzie Willmore and Jonny Willmore stocked the store with puzzles, hobbies, skill toys, games and other resources designed to help those with ADHD, autism and similar diagnoses.[1]
The Saturday event ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring celebrations tailored to the community's needs. A sensory-friendly follow-up session is scheduled today, Sunday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing a low-stimulation environment for visitors.[1] The Willmores told EastIdahoNews.com the shop aims to be both a retail destination and a welcoming hub in Idaho Falls, a city of about 68,000 where such specialized businesses remain rare.[1]
Idaho Falls has seen a rise in neurodiversity-focused ventures, including Sensory Getaway, which opened in August 2025 at 1610 Bennett Ave. That space offers interactive playrooms for youth with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD and physical challenges, hosting two-hour sessions and school field trips Monday through Saturday.[2][3] Wandermind complements these efforts by targeting all ages with retail therapy items, filling a gap in eastern Idaho's support network.
