Voter Identification Measures Appear on Ballots in Six States

Voters in at least six states will consider ballot measures related to voter identification this year. This number represents the highest volume of voter ID measures appearing on statewide ballots in any single year.

Among the states where these measures will be presented to voters are three that observers widely categorize as politically competitive, often referred to as swing states.
