U.S. Imposes Sanctions on Organizations Designated as Threatening National Security

WASHINGTON – The United States has imposed sanctions on Autistici/Inventati (A/I Collective) and other entities, according to a press statement released by spokesperson Thomas "Tommy" Pigott on August 26, 2026.

The U.S. government identified the A/I Collective as an Italy-based group providing digital services. The statement indicated that these services facilitate organization, recruitment, communication, and the execution of activities for certain groups. The statement added that these tools have been used to share target information, tactical manuals, techniques, and communications.

The State Department previously stated its commitment to addressing networks that organize, facilitate, and commit acts of violence, as noted at the July 16th Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism.

Today's actions result in the blocking of all property and interests of the designated entities that fall under U.S. jurisdiction. U.S. persons are generally prohibited from conducting transactions with these entities. Financial institutions and other individuals may face sanctions exposure for engaging in transactions or activities involving the designated entities, including providing funds, goods, or services.

Engaging in certain transactions with these entities may also lead to secondary sanctions on participating foreign financial institutions. Violations of U.S. sanctions can result in civil or criminal penalties for both U.S. and foreign persons.

These actions fall under Executive Order 13224, as amended. This order targets individuals and organizations involved in terrorism or providing support for such acts. The government described these measures as part of a broader effort to address certain transnational networks.

In addition to Autistici/Inventati, the designations include Palestine Action, cited for allegedly providing material or technological support for acts of terrorism. Masar Badil received designation for its purported connection to the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network. Rawa Alsagheer and Zaid Abdulnasser, identified as leaders of Masar Badil, also face designation.
