WASHINGTON – The Trump administration has approved visas for an Iranian delegation planning to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York next week. A State Department spokesperson confirmed the decision on Thursday.
The delegation will include Iranian leaders. U.S. officials will implement specific restrictions on their movement while they are in the United States.
These visa approvals allow Iranian representatives to participate in the annual international gathering at the United Nations headquarters.
