UAB Blazers Women's Soccer Falls 2-1 in American Championship Quarterfinals

(Day.News) — The UAB Blazers women's soccer team, seeded No. 4 in the 2025 American Athletic Conference Championship, fell 2-1 to fifth-seeded UTSA on Monday, November 3, at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. UTSA scored once in each half to secure the victory, eliminating UAB (7-6-6 overall, 4-3-3 conference) from title contention in the quarterfinal matchup.[1][2] The Blazers entered the tournament on a high after clinching a 3-2 road win over North Texas to close the regular season on Thursday, October 30.
