Twins Spring Training Schedule Announced for 2027 Season
Fort Myers baseball fans can mark their calendars: the Minnesota Twins have officially released their 2027 Spring Training schedule. The team will once again call Hammond Stadium at Lee Health Sports Complex their home base, bringing a full slate of Grapefruit League action to our community.
The 2027 season will kick off with the Twins hosting the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, February 27, at Hammond Stadium. This highly anticipated matchup is expected to draw a large crowd, as both teams have strong fan bases in Southwest Florida.
Throughout March, local residents will have numerous opportunities to catch their favorite players in action. Key home games include visits from the New York Yankees on March 5 and March 20, and the Philadelphia Phillies on March 10 and March 24. These games are always popular and often sell out quickly.
The schedule features 17 home games at Hammond Stadium, providing ample chances for families and visitors to experience professional baseball in a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere. The Twins will also play 16 road games, primarily against other Florida-based teams within the Grapefruit League.
The final home game of the 2027 Spring Training season is set for Tuesday, March 29, against the Tampa Bay Rays. This will be the last chance for fans to see the team in Fort Myers before they head north for Opening Day.
Tickets for individual games are expected to go on sale in late 2026. Season ticket holders will have priority access. Residents interested in attending are encouraged to monitor the Twins' official website for specific on-sale dates and pricing information as it becomes available. Hammond Stadium is located at 14100 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in South Fort Myers, a familiar landmark for local sports enthusiasts.
Spring Training is a significant economic driver for Fort Myers, bringing thousands of visitors to our hotels, restaurants in the vibrant River District, and local businesses each year. The Twins' continued presence is a source of local pride and a beloved annual tradition.
