Trump's 2023 Financial Disclosure Shows Substantial Crypto Income
Donald Trump's 2023 financial disclosure, made public on July 31, 2024, showed income exceeding $2 billion for the reporting period. The former president declared more than $5 million from a cryptocurrency licensing agreement. This specific income originated from a company that produced digital trading cards featuring images of Trump.
The disclosure indicated the crypto licensing revenue came directly from CIC Digital LLC, a company created specifically for the digital trading card venture. The company responsible for producing these cards, NFT INC LLC, paid CIC Digital LLC for the licensing rights.
Additional disclosures revealed income from other business activities. Trump reported significant earnings from ventures in golf, hotels, and a social media platform. He also listed revenue from a second digital asset project involving tokenized gold sneakers.
In public statements, Trump has stated that he does not personally manage these investment decisions. "Outside funds run my money," Trump said on April 15. The financial document itself covers an extended period, stretching from the beginning of 2023 through the end of June 2024.
