WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump rejected a proposal from Iran this week. Iran offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and resume discussions on its nuclear program. This offer was contingent on the United States lifting its naval blockade of Iranian ports and waiving sanctions on Iranian oil sales.
Iran's proposal also included a demand for a ceasefire, which would encompass Lebanon. The conditions outlined by Iran specified that these actions would occur within seven days.
