Train Incident Near Poland Border Follows European Officials' Passage

KYIV, Ukraine — A Ukrainian locomotive sustained damage near the Polish border this morning, hours after former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other European officials traveled through the area.

Johnson stated he did not understand the rationale behind the incident. He made the remark in reference to what he described as a "stationary Ukrainian locomotive" and attributed the action to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Reports of the damage emerged shortly after the passage of Johnson and several European leaders. These officials were returning from Ukraine.
