Thunder Dominate Suns in Game 1 Playoff Opener

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Phoenix Suns 119-84 in Game 1 of the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs. The victory gives the Thunder a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Oklahoma City established a significant lead early, finishing the first quarter with a 35-20 advantage and extending it to 65-44 by halftime. They maintained control throughout the second half, leading by as many as 39 points.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 25 points and seven assists, shooting 5-of-18 from the field and 15-of-17 from the free-throw line. Jalen Williams contributed 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists on 9-of-15 shooting. Chet Holmgren added 16 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and two steals, shooting 5-of-10 from the field.

The Thunder shot 45% from the field and 30.4% from three-point range (14-of-46). They converted 21-of-23 free throws and recorded 28 assists on 42 made baskets. Oklahoma City forced 19 turnovers, leading to 34 points.

For the Suns, Devin Booker scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds, shooting 8-of-20 from the field. Dillon Brooks had 18 points on 22 shot attempts, and Jalen Green added 17 points and five rebounds. The Suns shot 35% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range (13-of-39), making 13-of-18 free throws. They registered 16 assists on 29 made baskets.
