Three Attorneys General Subpoena Dr. Anthony Fauci Over COVID-19 Guidance

Attorneys General Andrew Bailey of Missouri, Jeff Landry of Louisiana, and Tim Griffin of Arkansas have issued subpoenas to Dr. Anthony Fauci. The subpoenas compel Fauci to provide testimony related to the federal government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This development occurs as some Republican members of Congress pursue efforts to hold Fauci in contempt. They cite his refusal to answer questions concerning the federal government's strategies and recommendations during the pandemic.

Fauci previously served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for 38 years. He also held the position of Chief Medical Advisor to the President.
