Estero residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for several upcoming community events and important municipal updates this week.

The Estero Village Council is set to hold its next regular meeting on Monday, April 15, at 5:30 PM at Village Hall, located at 9401 Corkscrew Palms Circle in the Village Center. On the agenda are discussions regarding the proposed expansion of the Estero Parkway multi-use path and an update on the progress of the new Estero Community Park playground equipment installation. Residents are welcome to attend and provide public comments on agenda items.

For local sports enthusiasts, the Estero High School Wildcats baseball team will host a home game against the Fort Myers Green Wave on Tuesday, April 16, at 6:00 PM at the high school's baseball field on Williams Road in the Three Oaks neighborhood. The Wildcats are looking to continue their strong season start.

The Estero Public Library, at 9200 Corkscrew Road, is hosting its monthly 'Books & Brews' club this Thursday, April 18, at 6:30 PM. This month's discussion will center on a historical fiction novel set in Florida. New members are always welcome, and refreshments will be provided. Additionally, the library announced that its popular 'Story Time for Tots' program will resume next Monday, April 22, at 10:00 AM, following a brief hiatus for facility maintenance.

Finally, the Estero Fire Rescue Department reminds residents about the ongoing burn ban, which remains in effect due to dry conditions. Fire Chief John Smith urged caution with any outdoor activities that could spark a fire and encouraged residents to review their home's wildfire preparedness plans. More information on fire safety can be found on the Estero Fire Rescue website.

Community members seeking further details on any of these items can contact the respective organizations directly.
