Teenager Sentenced to Life Without Parole in Apalachee High School Shooting

WINDER, Ga. — A Georgia court has sentenced a 17-year-old to life in prison without parole for the shooting at Apalachee High School. The sentence follows the teenager's conviction for killing two students and two teachers at the school.

Authorities stated the teenager used an assault-style rifle in the incident. He had received the weapon as a Christmas gift. Prosecutors presented evidence during the trial suggesting the teenager admired individuals who had committed mass murders.
