Tamarac House Fire: Two Dead, Cause Under Investigation

Two people died in the Tamarac residential structure fire, and investigators are still working to determine what sparked the blaze, according to officials and WSVN.

Tamarac Fire Rescue spokesperson Van Schoen said one person was found dead at the scene, while another person who was critically injured was taken as a trauma alert and later died. “We did find one fatality here. Another person was gravely injured and was taken as a trauma alert and subsequently has passed away,” Schoen said.

Officials said the home may have been used as an assisted living facility, but they have not released additional details about the victims.

The fire was extinguished, but investigators remained on scene for hours afterward as Tamarac Fire Rescue worked with the State Fire Marshal’s Office to determine the cause, according to officials.

Dispatch records show a prior structure fire was reported at the same address on June 16, 2026.

What the home was being used for, and what caused the fire, remain under investigation by Tamarac Fire Rescue and the State Fire Marshal’s Office. No suspect information has been reported in the available coverage.
