Tamarac House Fire: Two Dead, Cause Under Investigation

A Tamarac structure fire left two people dead, and investigators are now working to determine what sparked the blaze, according to WSVN 7News.

Tamarac Fire Rescue said one person was found dead at the scene and a second person, who was gravely injured, was taken away as a trauma alert and later died, spokesperson Van Schoen said. Officials also said the home may have been used as an assisted living facility.

The fire was extinguished, but investigators remained on scene for hours afterward as they worked with the State Fire Marshal’s Office to determine the cause of the blaze, according to WSVN 7News.

The response included Tamarac Fire Rescue and investigators, and the scene remained active well after firefighters knocked down the flames, indicating a death investigation and fire-cause probe were underway.

Dispatch records show a prior structure fire at this address on June 16, 2026.

What happens next is an ongoing investigation by Tamarac authorities and the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Officials have not yet released a cause, and additional updates are expected as the investigation continues.
