Tamarac Home Fire Kills 2: What We Know So Far
A Tamarac home fire left two people dead, according to WSVN’s report from the scene, and investigators are still working to determine what started the blaze.
Tamarac Fire Rescue said one person was found dead inside the home and another person who was transported as a trauma alert later died, according to WSVN. Fire Rescue spokesperson Van Schoen said, “We did find one fatality here. Another person was gravely injured and was taken as a trauma alert and subsequently has passed away.”
Investigators also believed the property may have been used as an assisted living facility, according to WSVN. Officials said they were working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office to determine the cause of the fire, and the cause had not been determined.
Fire crews extinguished the fire and later left the scene, but investigators remained on site for hours, according to WSVN. The active investigation is focused on how the fire started and whether the property’s use had any role in the incident.
