Suspect Extradited in Lake Worth Beach 2023 Homicide

Authorities extradited Jose Castellon Jimenez to Palm Beach County on Thursday, May 13, 2026, in connection with the October 2023 death of Eullaia Castellon.

Detectives launched a missing person investigation on October 22, 2023, after Castellon, 31, disappeared. As investigators suspected foul play, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit took over the case. Detectives found Castellon dead inside a parked vehicle at the Lake Worth Tri-Rail Station and ruled her death a homicide.

Jimenez, 43, fled to El Salvador on the day of the homicide. Law enforcement located and arrested him there on April 25, 2024. Interpol and extradition proceedings concluded this week, bringing him back to face charges in Palm Beach County.
