Suspect Arrested in Brandon Robbery Shooting That Injured Bystander on W. Lumsden Road

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) deputies arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery and shooting that occurred on Tuesday, March 12, in Brandon. The incident, which took place at a business in the 1900 block of W. Lumsden Road, resulted in an innocent bystander sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

The arrest, announced by HCSO on March 13, brings a suspect into custody following the violent daytime robbery. The community has expressed concern over the safety of local businesses and the well-being of residents.

The robbery unfolded around 1 p.m. on March 12. During the incident, a woman, identified as an innocent bystander, was struck by gunfire. HCSO confirmed the victim was not the intended target of the shooting.

Emergency services transported the injured woman to Tampa General Hospital. She received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
