Suddath Wins CIO 100 Award for Industry Innovation
Suddath Recognized for Innovation in Commercial Moving Technology
JACKSONVILLE, Duval County, Fla. – Local company The Suddath Companies, headquartered in the River City, has been honored with a 2018 CIO 100 Award from IDG for its leadership in industry innovation. The prestigious annual award program recognizes organizations globally for operational and strategic excellence, particularly in the innovative use of technology to deliver genuine business value.
Suddath® earned the award for its development of Tracker, powered by Telescio℠, a patent-pending technology described as a game-changer for corporate office moves. This application aims to bring consistency to late-stage move planning and the physical relocation process. Key features of Tracker include inventory tracking, real-time status updates, and digital quality management, all designed to improve accuracy, increase transparency for customers, and reduce business disruption.
Mark Scullion, President of Suddath Workplace and Commercial Solutions, highlighted the company's commitment to innovation. “Innovation is one of our core values at Suddath. Not only is yesterday’s approach inefficient, but it is very risky because many in the industry do commercial moves with last-century accountability,” Scullion stated. He credited the technology team for developing proprietary technology to enhance control and accountability in the relocation process.
Len O’Neill, Chief Information Officer at Suddath, expressed gratitude for the recognition. “This is truly a prestigious honor and we are thankful Suddath is being recognized for this achievement out of hundreds of other applicants,” O’Neill said. He noted that the successful implementation of Telescio Tracker, developed with partner Feature[23], is a significant step in Suddath’s goal to be the easiest company to do business with. O'Neill emphasized that driving transparency into their supply chain is a key element of their digital strategy, which helps improve customer experience, ensure consistent quality, and reduce operational costs. He added that this level of visibility was previously unavailable in the commercial moving industry.
Executives from the winning companies, including Suddath, were recognized at The CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018, at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
